VICTORIA, Texas -A neighborhood in Victoria took a step back in time Friday in honor of Easter weekend during the Stations of the Cross event. Hosted by Capilla Santísima Trinidad Church on Pleasant Valley Drive, the event portrayed the full story of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus as told in the Bible. The crucifixion was reenacted on a stage outside Tapatía's restaurant on Callis Street.

Trinity Episcopal School unveiled a book vending machine Monday morning. Students earn tokens during school hours and then use those tokens to select a book from the machine. Kailey Leske, enrollment director at Trinity, says the book vending machine will help promote a love for reading.

VICTORIA, Texas - For the third year in a row, Hope of South Texas kicked off Child Abuse Awareness Month in a big way with the sounding of horns, sirens, and bells. First responders lined up in front of the Dr. Pattie Dodson Center, while their vehicles blared to raise awareness. Meagan Gumm, executive director of Hope of South Texas Children’s Advocacy Center, said awareness is key to ensuring more children receive the help they need.
