HOMER — For one Branch County softball program the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) postseason began Tuesday night, as the Quincy Orioles traveled to Homer to face off with their former Big 8 rivals in the Trojans who had home field advantage in the pre-district round of play in Division 3 District 82 softball.

UNION CITY — The Quincy baseball program made sure to pack their big bats Tuesday night as the Orioles traveled to Union City to face off with the Homer Trojans in the Division 3 pre-District game in District 80 of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) postseason tournament. Quincy’s offense was electric from the start as the Orioles put up 13 runs on 10 hits to roll past the Trojans for the 13-2 district win.

ADRIAN – Teams from across Lenawee County traveled to Adrian Madison High School this past week to compete in the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Division 3 Girls Regional Track and Field meet. On the girls side of the competition, Blissfield qualified for the team portion of the Division 3 state finals thanks to their runner-up finish, finishing just a point and a half behind the regional champions from Erie Mason.

ADRIAN – Adrian Madison High School played host to the Division 3 regional track and field meet this past week, and six teams from Lenawee County made the trip looking for postseason glory. The Onsted boys track and field team dominated the field, winning the regional title in runaway fashion, scoring 128.5 points. Erie Mason and Adrian Madison finished in a tie for second place with each team hitting a score of 107.
