    A man who lost nine teeth in a suspected catapult attack outside a village pub has said it is the "most horrendous thing" that has ever happened to him. The incident happened at about 22:00 GMT in Farningham High Street on 21 February following an earlier "verbal altercation", Kent Police said. Tom Riva, who disputes that there was an altercation, is now looking to raise £11,000 for his dental treatment as he was told he would need implants, as first reported by Kent Online.

    Burst mains pipes left more than 1,500 customers across the South East with little or no water. South East Water apologised to those who were experiencing low water pressure or no water in nine areas across Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex and Hampshire until 16:00 GMT on Friday. The affected areas were parts of Pembury, Canterbury, Herne Bay, Haslemere, Crowborough, Mayfield and Aldershot.
