    A Kent-based garden designer, who is about to display at RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the first time, is in the process of transforming a hospice garden. Joshua Fenton, from Gravesend, is creating a "peaceful, sustainable sanctuary for patients, family and staff" at ellenor, a charity in neighbouring Northfleet. The new space will feature a memorial wall for grieving families, accessible pathways and pollinator-friendly planting, the charity said.

    Football fans from both Kent and Surrey have said it is exciting to see Whitstable Town FC and AFC Whyteleafe face off in the FA Vase final at Wembley. It is the first time either side have made it to the final of the competition, which is for non-league teams in steps nine and 10 of the English football pyramid. Whitstable supporters Jane and Roy Longhurst said they were "so proud" of their son Matt, who was playing in the game, although they had "absolute goosebumps" ahead of the game.

    A woman was airlifted to hospital after the car she was travelling in crashed into a tree in Kent. The incident happened on the London-bound carriageway of the A299 Thanet Way, between St Nicholas-at-Wade and Herne Bay, at about 19:50 BST on Saturday. One of the occupants of the a blue Skoda, a woman in her 60s, was flown to a London hospital with serious injuries, Kent Police said. The car's other occupant was taken to a nearby hospital.
