We’ve reached the end of The Last of Us Season 2 and it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions. The finale covered a large section of the game in about 40 minutes of runtime, which both helped and hurt the plot. Let’s break down what happened in the finale and what it means for the next season and beyond. The episode starts by catching up with a wounded Dina and Jesse back at the theater trying to get the arrow out of her leg.

In the history of The Walking Dead there have been many memorable characters that left their mark on the universe. The villains, however, always seemed to have more fun with their introductions. Although his entrance was mentally scarring, Negan was one of those characters. And on The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 4, it’s only fitting that Negan introduces a new villain.

From what we’ve seen in the episodes released so far, you could tell that Hershel was going to be a prominent character this season. After the solid premiere of the second season of The Walking Dead: Dead City, this week’s episode blasts out of the cannon (literally) and gets the story moving in an intense way. There are some quiet and thoughtful character moments, a devastating loss for Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), and one of the most abstract and strange sequences in The Walking Dead universe. And with an episode title like “Another Shitty Lesson,” this might be one of the best episodes of the series.

Maggie and Negan are back for season two of The Walking Dead: Dead City, and it looks like it’s the versions of each that fans of the original series loved the most. This episode brought back the characters that we got to know well in the first season, while adding a few new ones that (in my opinion) stole the show. And with the backdrop still being post-apocalyptic New York City, this season looks to be a defining moment for the series and the universe. Welcome back.
