TUESDAY – We’ll wake up to high 30s closer to the Missouri bootheel, low to mid 40s everywhere else. Despite the chilly start Tuesday, sunshine along with southerly flow will allow us to warm into the lower to mid 70s. Pretty much a picture-perfect day that you should make plans to enjoy, because our weather goes downhill again on Wednesday. WEDNESDAY – Another significant severe threat will unfold across the Mid-South Wednesday afternoon into the evening.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The snow may have stopped, but now it’s the temperatures that are falling, and they’ll be ice-cold for days. Wednesday afternoon, temperatures ranged from 18 in Blytheville to 25 in Corinth, with wind chills as low as 1 degree across the area. Extreme Cold Warnings were already in effect in the area, and it was only set to get colder. We wake up to single digits and low teens early Thursday, but it will feel like it’s below zero.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Another winter storm is in the books!Several inches of snow fell across a good chunk of the Mid-South late Thursday night through Friday morning. The 5-7″+ swath we had been predicting throughout the week along the I-40 corridor panned out very nicely. The further north or south you went, the totals began to taper off slightly as expected.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Snowfall will intensify overnight and remain heavy at times through Friday morning. It will gradually taper off from west to east Friday afternoon. We’re still on track for a large swath of 5-7”+ along the I-40 corridor down into northern Mississippi, especially for areas closer to the state line. Deeper into northern Mississippi there’s likely to be some periods of sleet, freezing rain, and possibly even straight rain.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — We’re on track for a major winter storm to impact the Mid-South, with several inches of snow falling Thursday night through early Friday afternoon. Expect bitterly cold temperatures in the high teens/low 20s early Thursday, but we should actually see a decent warmup during the day with light southerly flow kicking in through the afternoon. For at least a short time we’ll climb into the mid to high 30s. Other than the cold, we have no issues through Thursday afternoon.

The last thing we want right now is another severe threat, but rest assured this isn't going to be anything like last week. There won't be a lot of them, but any storms that do develop Thursday afternoon/evening will pose a hail and wind threat. https://t.co/VlyZM480Q7
