TUESDAY – We’ll wake up to high 30s closer to the Missouri bootheel, low to mid 40s everywhere else. Despite the chilly start Tuesday, sunshine along with southerly flow will allow us to warm into the lower to mid 70s. Pretty much a picture-perfect day that you should make plans to enjoy, because our weather goes downhill again on Wednesday. MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The snow may have stopped, but now it’s the temperatures that are falling, and they’ll be ice-cold for days. Wednesday afternoon, temperatures ranged from 18 in Blytheville to 25 in Corinth, with wind chills as low as 1 degree across the area. Extreme Cold Warnings were already in effect in the area, and it was only set to get colder. We wake up to single digits and low teens early Thursday, but it will feel like it’s below zero.

Deeper into northern Mississippi there’s likely to be some periods of sleet, freezing rain, and possibly even straight rain.
