The station is part of Tribune Broadcasting, a subsidiary of Tribune Media Company. WREG's studios are situated at Channel 3 Drive, close to the Mississippi River and near I-55 on Memphis' west side. Its transmitter can be found about 5 miles (8.0 km) southeast of Bartlett, positioned between I-40 and Whitten Road.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two shootings were reported overnight in the Binghampton and Southeast Memphis area, according to the Memphis Police Department. Officers say they responded to the first shooting near a business in the 3000 block of Summer Avenue around 9:40 a.m.The second overnight shooting was reported at an Exxon gas station on Hickory Hill Road and Winchester Road just before 12:30 a.m.It is still unclear who fired the shots or if anyone was hurt in either incident.

BYHALIA, Miss. — WREG is learning more about a police chase that started in Marshall County and ended in DeSoto County. The witness who took the video, Joseph Bloodgood, says this all started yesterday when the driver sped through a red light at Highway 309. Bloodgood tells WREG that the driver then ran into the Byhalia, Mississippi, post office and hit a car, which resulted in a chase. WREG learned that Mississippi Game Wardens conducted the pursuit.
