Ozonation is a widely used technology for removing organic pollutants owing to their strong oxidation potential (E0 = 2.07 eV) and low secondary pollution [1]. The ozonation of organic pollutants involves two main mechanisms. One is the direct oxidation of O3 molecules and the other is the indirect oxidation of •OH produced from the decomposition of O3 [2].
