    State Highway 1 south of Auckland has been reopened after three people were killed in a horrific multi-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon. All lanes of the motorway were closed following the crash, which happened just before 2pm and involved a truck and three other vehicles. SH1 was still closed late into the night with diversions in place, according to police. The crash happened between Bombay and Ramarama, closed to the Ramarama off-ramp.

    A New Zealand-based Christian church group are desperately attempting to flee Israel as they feel the vibrations of daily rocket attacks from their hotel. Fifty-four members of the Connection City Church Assemblies of God were on a Holy Land tour when Palestinian Islamist group Hamas launched a surprise attack, killing hundreds and wounding thousands. “I’m not going to feel safe until I touch New Zealand soil,” tour member Pesi Sikalu told the Herald.
