Financial advisors (FAs) need to account for the different preferences of a new generation of affluent investors who are actively seeking professional advice as their financial lives become more complex, according to a study by Cerulli Associates. From 2020 to 2023, the interest of such investors in paid financial advice grew across the board, with an increase of 8.6% for men and 17.3% for women. More than six in 10 people now express a willingness to pay for financial advice, the report found.

El Museo Inmigrante, que abrió el 11 de enero ubicado en Somerville Museum, da luz a estos caminos. El museo le dió la oportunidad a Padres Latinos de Somerville, un grupo de padres del Somerville Public Schools (SPS, por sus siglas en inglés), de exhibir sus historias de resiliencia.

“Poemhood: Our Black Revival” and “This is the Honey: An Anthology of Contemporary Black Poets,” two major anthologies of African American poetry, both came out on Jan. 30 in somewhat of a serendipitous way. With various coincidental intersections, Emerson writing, literature & publishing professor Jabari Asim’s work was featured in both anthologies, with alums tagging along with contributions in editing and writing.

The Emerson College Students’ Union (ECSU) met for their weekly meeting last Wednesday to celebrate their successful union drive and the new possibility of a student union town hall meeting. The meeting commenced with an announcement by ECSU Leader and visual media arts junior Dylan Young. “This week, we’ve gotten 36 new signatures,” Young said, referencing their union drive form.
