Nic Wilson will join Pacheco as the other hitting coach for the club. Pacheco, a former UNM Lobos and La Cueva High School standout, made his major league debut as a player with the Rockies in 2011.

The Lobos are trying to make that field for a third consecutive year. The Lobos, a number eight seed, are tied with Augusta at 3 under par, well behind the lead set by host Florida State. The Seminoles, the number two seed, shot a team total of 14 under par. Notre Dame is second at 7 under par.
