In a pile of memories that used to make up Eric Erkkinen’s home, he is still looking for one piece that he doesn’t want to leave behind. “Mornings I wake up and you know, I’m in the nightmare again, I wake up in the morning and think is this real?” said Erkkinen. His house on Krystal Lane burst into flames last Wednesday, April 16.

COPAKE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Data showed that the Mitsubishi MU-2B plane that crashed in Copake on Saturday, killing all six people on board, went from cruise altitude into the ground in a matter of moments. David Prescott, an aviation expert and president of the Hangar at 743, outlined the path that the plane took. According to the map, the plane was descending and reached 2,500 feet, before it started going back up in the sky.

COPAKE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Neighbors shared what they heard moments after a plane crashed down in Copake on Saturday, killing all six people on board. Two community members recalled hearing a sound similar to a boom after a plane went down near their houses on Saturday afternoon. One neighbor, Dave Perdue lives near the crash and said he was the first person on the scene.

NORTH CREEK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A local chocolatier is preparing to handle price increases from tariffs after President Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause in tariffs to nearly all countries. The White House tariffs were supposed to go into effect at midnight on Wednesday, however President Trump announced Wednesday afternoon that additional tariffs will be held for 90 days. However, the baseline 10% tariff that was implemented last week, will still be in effect.
