Sam Navarro-Imagn Images The Mets have officially activated right-hander Frankie Montas, who will make his Mets debut tonight against the Braves. In a corresponding move, the Mets sent Chris Devenski down to Triple-A Syracuse. The Mets also placed Jesse Winker on the 60-day IL to make room for Montas on the 40-man roster. Montas’ return is coming at a time when the Mets rotation is struggling for the first time this season.

Dale Zanine-Imagn Images I can’t say any good things about tonight’s Mets game, an uninspiring 5-0 loss to the Braves, if I’m being honest. But at the very least, I can say that the Mets did not wait until the very late innings to rip our hearts out, instead mercifully taking themselves out of this game from the start.
