Black women fashion designers are constantly echoing the same sentiment: there’s still a need for more diversity in the industry and more resources for Black designers. Although New York Fashion Week (NYFW) has become more inclusive and diverse in recent years, this season’s roster of Black designers still only made up roughly 15 percent of the week’s calendar.
