A Boston man wanted in the 2023 J’ouvert Parade shooting that injured eight was arrested in Georgia after six months on the run, authorities said. Gerald Vick, 31, of Dorchester, was located and arrested on Wednesday in Lithia Springs, Georgia, according to Boston police. Vick had been on the run since removing his court-ordered electronic monitoring bracelet the night before his scheduled trial.

Crews are responding to a plane crash near the Beverly, Massachusetts, airport, Thursday morning. The crash happened near 106 Sam Fonzo Drive, which next to Beverly Regional Airport. A picture from the scene shows a heavily damaged small plane on a roadway against a utility pole. There was no immediate word on injuries, but two people were on board. It is unclear if the crash happened while the plane was attempting a landing or takeoff.
