An increase in residential land values in some areas of El Paso County after several years of being flat is one reason overall home values, used to set property taxes, have risen again, El Paso Central Appraisal District data shows. The average market value of single-family homes in El Paso County, which includes the land values, increased almost 5% this year to an average value of $247,680. That’s lower than the average 9% increase in 2024.

Cindy Ramos-Davidson, chief executive officer of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, has left the job she held almost 27 years after recently being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, chamber officials announced Friday. “She has been a champion, a mentor, and a tireless advocate for economic development and opportunity in El Paso,” Frank Spencer III, chairman of the chamber’s board of directors, said in a statement. She's been a visionary leader, he said.
