An Australian woman almost doubled a pull-ups record in an awe-inspiring display of strength. Olivia Vinson smashed the most pull ups in 24 hours (female) with an unbelievable total of 7,079. Her attempt, from 29-30 March, beat the previous record of 4,081 set by Paula Gorlo (Poland) in 2021.

Daredevil Ryan Luney (UK) lit himself on fire before seeing how many backflips he could do. The 28-year-old managed seven, setting the record for most standing backwards somersaults in 30 seconds (full body burn). With a stunt coordinator on hand, Ryan got into position, wearing a grey sweatshirt and pants and a flame-retardant protective hood. “I was freezing,” he surprisingly explained while looking back on the moment.

Jasmin Saaristo (Finland) joked she went ‘crazy in a good way’ after deciding to see how far she could walk on a rolling globe. After mapping out a course, the 25-year-old walked 1,100 m (3,608 ft 11 in) to claim the record for farthest distance walking on a rolling globe. That’s just a little over the length of 10 American football fields.

A gifted young boy who said his first word when he was just seven months old has become the youngest ever member of Mensa. To qualify for the exclusive club, you need to be in the top 2%, meaning you have an IQ of at least 132. Joseph Harris-Birtill (UK, b. 23 November 2021) was officially welcomed into the fold at age 2 years and 182 days, earning the record for youngest Mensa member (male).

An Iranian man who says he can stick any object to his body has broken a spoon-balancing record for the third time. Abolfazl Saber Mokhtari first claimed the record for most spoons balanced on the body in 2021 with 85 – smashing the record of 64 that came before him. He then broke his own record in 2023 with 88 spoons, and returned again this January with his new total of 96.
