Guinness World Records
Guinness World Records, originally known as The Guinness Book of Records from its launch in 1955 until 1999, and referred to as The Guinness Book of World Records in some U.S. editions, is an annual reference book that compiles records of both remarkable human accomplishments and the extremes found in nature. The concept was developed by Sir Hugh Beaver, and the book was co-founded by twin brothers Norris and Ross McWhirter in Fleet Street, London, back in August 1955.
