    ARCADIA, La. – The Bienville Parish School Board has set a special meeting for 6 p.m. Thursday to decide the fate of its superintendent. Superintendent Byron Lyons was placed on leave in late March for up to 90 days pending the outcome of an investigation. The reason for the investigation was not publicly disclosed. Baton Rouge attorney Brandon Decuir was hired to conduct the probe. The posted agenda states the results of the investigation will be discussed, possibly in executive session.

Teddy’s heart-breaking disappearance happened early Tuesday afternoon in Stonewall when he got away from an extended family member during a visit.

    SHREVEPORT, La. – A decision on a lawsuit contesting the results of the Nov. 18 sheriff's race won't be known until next week. Ad hoc Judge Joseph Bleich did not rule during a hearing today and instead is taking the matter under advisement until at least Monday afternoon while he gives attorneys on both sides of the issue time to respond to the evidence presented.
