President Trump signed an executive order Friday authorizing government-funded flights and financial incentives to illegal migrants willing to self-deport. The program, dubbed “Project Homecoming,” tasks government agencies with facilitating travel for migrants without travel documents, providing flights “at no cost to illegal aliens,” offering concierge service at airports to assist with travel bookings and granting illegal migrants an “exit bonus” to leave the US.

President Trump has added a powerful new art piece to the Oval Office — a statue depicting the aftermath of the July 2024 assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pa. The sculpture was spotted sitting on a side table next to Trump’s Resolute Desk on Friday as the president signed several executive orders in front of reporters. The statue depicts Trump defiantly raising his fist in the air moments after being hit in the ear by one of would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks’ bullets on July 13.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth commanded the nation’s military academies Friday to stop considering “race, ethnicity, or sex” in their admissions process, the latest blow by the Trump administration against Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs at the Pentagon. “The Military Service Academies (MSA) are elite warfighting institutions with long histories of producing world class military officers,” Hegseth wrote in the memo to senior Defense Department leadership.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Thursday that active-duty transgender troops will have 30 days to voluntarily separate from the military before being forced out. Hegseth’s announcement comes two days after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Trump administration and restored President Trump’s Jan. 27 executive order directing the Pentagon to discharge service members who identify as transgender. “After a SCOTUS victory for @POTUS, TRANS is out at the DOD,” Hegseth wrote on X.
