BLUE SKIES bathed the Baronscourt as families flocked to Newtown to enjoy a fun day in aid of Care for Cancer under the beaming sunshine. Organised by the Campsie-based charity, Saturday’s event featured activities for all ages, a beautiful craft fayre, iconic vintage vehicles, a horse and cart, musical entertainment, a raffle and a walk around the estate’s stunning surrounds.

SEVEN pupils of Tummery Primary School showed ‘great confidence and pride’ when showing off their Irish language skills during their Silver Fáinne speaking exams. The Dromore school was recently delighted to welcome Cónall Mac Cú Uladh to host the speaking exams, with pupils Ellie Sheridan and Rosie O’Neill of Primary Five, Nico Simpson, Dara O’Neill, Tierna O’Neill and Maddie Quinn of Primary Six and Darcie Quinn of Primary Seven taking part.

THE sun shone down this week on a large turnout of people who took part in this year’s NSPCC annual fundraising ‘Bluebell Walk’ at Baronscourt Estate, Newtownstewart. Organised by the NSPCC Omagh and District Committee, the first Bluebell Walk was held in May 2013 and since then has raised thousands of pounds to support the vital work of the charity.
