    HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A person has been arrested after a welfare check ended in a homicide investigation in Hanford, the Kings County Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies say they responded to a home in the 8500 block of Curtis Street in Hanford Friday morning for a welfare check. Upon arrival, sheriff’s officials say an investigation began into the circumstances surrounding a suspected homicide. The sole suspect believed to be responsible for the incident was arrested at the scene.

    FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office reported two bear sightings in the county in a little over one week – one in Selma and another in Clovis. Because of the incidents, the sheriff’s office is advising residents on what to do if they encounter a bear in their backyard. On Friday, the Selma Police Department reported that one of its officers saw a black bear on the loose in the area of Dinuba Avenue and Wright Street.

The Fresno Police Department detectives said they were conducting a follow-up regarding a firearm investigation on April 30. During the investigation, they contacted a man who was not allowed to own or possess firearms.

    HURON, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified one of the victims in a Huron deadly shooting back in 2017, and now, they are asking for the public to help in solving this case. Deputies identified the man as 22-year-old Jesus Adrian Amador Jr. of Huron. Deputies say homicide detectives are shifting back to the investigation after receiving new information related to his homicide, but they still need the public’s help to find his alleged killer.
