NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A Beatrice man charged for burglary-related charges in three cases appeared in Lincoln County District Court Monday. Chad Peterson, 54, was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of possession of burglary tools and one count of attempted burglary. All of the charges are in relation to the burglaries and attempted burglary of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Church of Christ and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. Peterson pleaded not guilty to all three cases.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Ogallala teen charged in the death of a Keith County teen appeared in Lincoln County District Court Monday. Addison Malone, 18, was charged with DUI motor vehicular homicide in the death of her passenger, 18-year-old Nathaniel Sandoval last summer. An arraignment on amended information has been scheduled for July 14. Her attorney, Aaron Bishop, also recommended setting a date for a pretrial and jury trial. A pretrial is scheduled for Aug.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Nebraskaland Days Quilt Show begins this week, and volunteers along with the Heartland Quilt Guild have been setting up all day. Quilt show coordinator, Teresa Smith, said that there are over of 130 pieces of quilted items this year. “It has a variety of quilts,” Smith said.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A 34-year-old has been found guilty of third-degree sexual assault of a child in Lincoln County District Court. Micah Miller of North Platte has pleaded no contest to third-degree sexual assault of a child in order to have his other count of sexual assault dismissed. According to an arrest affidavit, on March 22, 2024, the North Platte Police Department received a report that a minor had been sexually assaulted by Miller.
