The search for missing mum Victoria Taylor has entered its fourth day, with police divers continuing to scour a river, while a touching photo of her was shared online. The snap, showing her with her fiancé, is thought to be the last picture taken of her before she disappeared. She was last seen at her home at around 9am on Monday. She was captured on CCTV two hours later, buying a soft drink at a BP garage near to her home, but has not contacted family or friends since.

On Monday 19 February, Ibrahima Bah, a young person from Senegal, was found guilty by a jury of ‘facilitating a breach of immigration law’, and four counts of manslaughter by gross negligence. This is the second time he was hauled before a jury to relive the traumatic events of that night, as the first jury in July 2023 failed to reach a unanimous verdict. He had been identified on 14 December 2022 as having steered a dinghy which was shipwrecked in the Channel.
