PHOTOGRAPHY | TRAVEL | SANDI’S APRIL PROMPTApril Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Rust”Have you seen my head somewhere? Continuing to be tickled by the artwork of the art college students, I came upon this body. Literally. Headless. It’s almost like it is trying to hide. Can’t blame it, can we? It is never easy when you lose your head. Will you help find it? Sooner the better. The rusty skeleton framework may not hold for too long. I think someone has been chipping away at the body.

The power of small shifts with ‘Eat Move Sleep’ by Tom RathEven though I work from home and have the flexibility to manage my time, I often find myself up late at night. You’d think with more control over my schedule, I’d sleep better or find it easier to stick to a routine. But like many people, I tend to stretch my work hours into the night, thinking I’ll rest later. I’ve always considered myself fairly health-conscious, but being conscious is not the same as being consistent.

Writing PromptsThree short stories3. Splat! The child sprawled headlong in the puddle. But instead of wailing in pain, she seemed fascinated by the pitter-patter of the rain on a large leaf. With each drop, the leaf shuddered and bounced, as if to say, “Hey, I am strong. I can take it”. The child shrieked with laughter as a frog suddenly jumped on the leaf and croaked loudly, making the leaf swing up and down like a trampoline.

LIFECollecting life’s pebblesI buy my sandwich and kadak coffee (pronounced karak) from Chaiiwala and walk towards the overly crowded food court to find a seat. Kadak, in Hindi, means strong. The term is usually associated with tea, popularly known as Karak chai. The milky, sweet, strong, sometimes spiced-up hot beverage originated in the Indian subcontinent. Only in recent years has it gained some popularity in the West. Coffee is also made similarly (sans spices) in the region.
