Hassan, who is the company’s Director, will now take on the role of President of Sports.com Studios – a creative media project that is targeting the production and distribution of sports-focused movies, docuseries and digital content. “I’ve always believed in the power of sport and film to unite, inspire and tell real human stories,” Hassan commented.

The UK Gambling Commission’s (UKGC) has been legally challenged over its National Lottery subsidy controls in relation to Allwyn. Northern & Shell, a competitor for the fourth National Lottery licence, and its subsidiary, Health Lottery ELM, have filed an appeal with the Competition Appeal Tribunal against the UKGC.

South Africa’s Minister Parks Tau has initiated legal proceedings to overturn a court’s ruling on granting a temporary national lottery licence. The need for a temporary licence became evident as there were still no announcements made for a full licence short of the 28 May deadline – the date when the tenure of the previous licence holder Ithuba Holdings effectively expired.
