This PÖFF is going to be remembered by those of us at DMovies as the year when the weather we left behind us in the UK was colder and more wintry than the weather in Tallinn, where the average seemed to be between five and minus one degrees, very mild for this time of year. I’m checking the weather forecast over there as I write from the UK, to see that it is warmer still this week, and up to seven degrees tomorrow. Global warming is real, people.

One way to achieve that goal would be to fake your own death, which is exactly what Lina (Zygimante Elena Jakstaite) believes she has stumbled upon someone doing as this opens. Lina works as an orderly in a morgue.

QUICK AND DIRTY: LIVE FROM TALLINNThe soil is dry and barren. The vegetation is scarce: there is barely a tree in sight. The weather is sunny and a little nippy. The landscape boasts all shades of yellow, from pastel sand all the way to rich fold. Quiet and intropective Caviche (Sebastian Damian) lives with his partner Chelina (Maria Ibarra Peña), who is pregnant with their first child. The arrival of a new family member, however, isn’t good news at all.
