BOISE, Idaho — The defense of the man accused of killing four University of Idaho students plans to argue the possibility that 'alternate perpetrators' committed the murders. In a pretrial hearing Thursday morning, Judge Steven Hippler gave the defense a one-week deadline to provide evidence supporting their claims and why it should be admissible. Per request, documents related to the defense's allegations will be sealed.

BONNER COUNTY, Idaho — Editor note: The Grizzly bear in the picture above is not the one the hunter killed. A grizzly bear was mistakenly shot and killed by a hunter in North Idaho late last week. According to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG), on Friday, May 9, a hunter shot and killed a young female grizzly bear he thought was a black bear.
