SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane city partnership is working to reduce fire risk and improve forest health across its city parks. Spokane Parks & Recreation has partnered with the Spokane Fire Department and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to tackle a 450-acre fire fuel reduction project throughout Spokane County. Nick Jeffries with SFD says the project is funded by a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) grant of $1.5 million.

According to a Pullman Police report, a WSU student reported that he was attacked by WSU instructor and graduate student Patrick Mahoney in late February. PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University police arrested two people early Thursday morning in connection with a vandalism incident on campus. WSU Police reported officers found several dozen anti-Charlie Kirk flyers glued to university buildings over the weekend. Then, on the morning of conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s scheduled appearance on campus as part of his “American Comeback” tour, officers said they observed three individuals gluing signs to campus property.
