Google has made its new experimental AI model Gemini 2.5 Pro available for free. According to the company, all users can now try out its capabilities, although those without a paid subscription will be subject to restrictions on the number of queries. Google unveiled Gemini 2.5 Pro last week, initially providing access to it to Gemini Advanced users. Now, the model is available in Google AI Studio and the Gemini app.

Anthropic has expanded the capabilities of its Claude 3.7 Sonnet AI chatbot to include an Internet search function. This enhancement allows users to get up-to-date information using data from the web. According to Anthropic, web search gives Claude access to the latest events and data. Previously, the chatbot's knowledge was limited to October 2024, which could affect the accuracy of answers about current events.

London-based fintech startup Prosper has raised £4 million in a new investment round, with Ukrainian fund Roosh Ventures among the investors. This is according to the fund's press release shared with AIN. The round, which was previously announced back in February, was led by Fuel Ventures, with participation from Capital One, World First, Tandem, Azimo, Embark, Comply Advantage and the founders of Monzo.

Ukrainian telecommunications company Kyivstar has officially announced the acquisition of 97% of the corporate rights of Uklon, one of Ukraine's largest online taxi services. The deal is valued at $155.2 million, the company shared the details with AIN. Under the terms of the deal, Uklon will continue to operate as a separate company and its team, led by CEO Serhii Hryshkov will remain unchanged. The transaction is expected to close in April 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
