Moradabad: Four sugar mills in the district have been fined a total of Rs 4.51 lakh for failing to provide adequate facilities to farmers and for other irregularities. Two of the mills have already paid Rs 80,000 of the penalty amount, reports Amar Ujala. According to the Office of the Assistant Commissioner (Sugar), officials inspected the operational sugar mills in the division between November 2024 and April 2025.
