According to the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Tennessee, in December 2022, Bryan Miller, 32, smuggled contraband into FCI Memphis while employed as a correctional officer for that facility.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man pleaded guilty to 2024 carjacking and shooting charges on Wednesday. According to the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Tennessee, on April 15, Jaylen Simpson, 23, pleaded guilty to carjacking resulting in serious bodily injury and the use of a firearm during a crime of violence. He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 16, and he will face a minimum of 10 years to life in prison for the discharge of the firearm.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three juveniles are accused of setting two mobile homes on fire in Crittenden County. The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department said two 14-year-olds and one 10-year-old were arrested and charged in connection with the fires in Marion, Arkansas. According to the sheriff’s department’s Facebook post, two trailer houses caught fire on Morrison Cove and Johnson Drive in the Lake Shore trailer park area. Investigators said one of the trailers was a total loss after the fire.
