Every week we feature an available animal, this week it is Buffy's turn in the spotlight! This is Buffy, she is a four-year-old German Shepherd mix who is looking for her forever home! This 75-pound love bug has both a silly and a serious side; plus, she is easy on a leash and loves to cuddle. She came to Woods Humane Society in January from a Los Angeles shelter impacted by the fires. She made it out safely but has been waiting for a home ever since.

Good morning, Central Coast! As we kick off our Friday, conditions are beautiful! The marine layer is sitting offshore, so skies are starting off clear, and temps are mild, staying in the upper 40s and low 50s. Here is a look at Pismo Beach this morning. The pattern of warm temps and sunny skies has been lead on by a large high pressure to our east. While the impact on us is waning, near record highs are expected through much of the west.

Good morning Central Coast! As we kick off our Thursday morning we are set up for another beautiful, although unseasonably hot day! The high pressure driving this pattern is sitting to our west and continuing to drive offshore winds and abundant sunshine. As we know so well that is the recipe for a very warm day. That high pressure aloft is also what drove the high temps Wednesday, here is a look at what the day brought us.

Good morning, Central Coast!Today's forecast is all about the heat! High pressure aloft is surging temps into the 80s for interiors and 70s elsewhere. Ahead of that afternoon warmth, though we are starting the morning with lows in the 40s, that will help moderate the morning temps ahead of the warmth. By our beaches, the marine layer is minimal, but in the Santa Ynez Valley and through Lompoc, there is some light fog to contend with on the morning commute.
