Cool start to the workweek but a big warm up is headed our way

Good morning, Central Coast!As we kick of the new workweek, sunshine is the story and we have a big warm-up in store. This is thanks to the transition between a persistent low pressure and a large ridge of high pressure. There is a lingering high surf advisory for all western beaches in place through 9 a.m. Monday morning. Sets up to 10 ft are still possible today but the threat is dissipating. Highs will be slightly below normal for this time of the year today. Upper 70s for the interiors.

Good morning, Central Coast!To kick off the morning, cloud cover and fog is the story for many beaches and coastal valleys. Feeling very "May Grey" to kick off our Friday. The good news is that this afternoon, sunshine will move in, and warm temps are expected. Interiors may even make a run for the 80s. Coastal valleys will be in the upper 60s while some beaches will stay in the 50s. That warm up is from a weak high pressure that will be ushered out quickly by a cold front headed our way.

Good morning, Central Coast!Temps today are going to stay on the cooler side with highs in the mid-60s for coastal valleys. Western beaches will stay in the 50s while interiors will climb into the low 70s. Friday will bring a slight warm-up as high pressure moves in, which will be short-lived though. Another cold front will bring cooler weather to the region for the weekend alongside some slim chances for rain.

Good morning, Central Coast! Yesterday was a beautiful one! Sunshine and warm temps were in place across the region, today will be a little cooler all thanks to a weak trough passing through the region. Today high temps will be comfortable but noticeably lower than yesterday. Interiors will fall about 10 degrees with highs in the low 70s. Coastal valleys will be in the 60s today, and by the beaches, clouds will struggle to clear, most spots just reaching into the low 60s.

Good morning, Central Coast! This morning fog has made its way to many communities. The good news is that as soon as the sun comes up sunshine will be the main story with much warmer temps. That is all thanks to a high pressure system sitting to our west. That will drive temps climbing into the 80s for the interiors and 70s for the beaches. For some context 70 degrees is the average daily high in San Luis Obispo for April 29th. We havent seen temps warmer than that for two weeks.

Good morning, Central Coast!After a bit of a cooler and cloudy weekend, temps are climbing and sunshine will be the story! Winds will be a bit of a bother, sundowner winds on the south coast have prompted a wind advisory through 3 a.m. Tuesday morning. Gusts up to 45 mph are possible. Tuesday will be our warmest day, highs may even reach 80 for some interiors. Later in the week though temps will fall back to below normal values. Have a great day, Central Coast!
