KSBY-TV first went live in May 1953. Currently, it serves as the NBC, CW, and LAFF affiliate for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties, located along California's stunning Central Coast. Initially, the station was known as KVEC-TV, with the VEC in its name representing Valley Electric Company. KVEC-TV holds the distinction of being the first local television station established in the Central Coast area. At its launch, the station broadcasted shows from all three major television networks: NBC, CBS, and ABC.

Princesses of all ages filled the Madonna Inn Sunday afternoon to enjoy a celebration and a special performance. Children gathered at the iconic hotel for A 'Popular' Celebration, which offered princess makeovers, storytelling, a dance party, and a sing-along with some fan-favorite Disney princesses. Sunday's event also featured several characters from the "Wicked" musical who performed a show for the young attendees.
