Fault helped the Rams win the recent Missouri Scholastic Lacrosse Association Class 2 championship with a 17-5 win over the CBC Cadets at Missouri Baptist University’s Spartan Field. He scored five goals and added two assists. For his performance, Faust was named the  championship game’s most valuable player.

    Triple crowns are rare in high school tennis, but MICDS pulled off the feat this year. Coach Patrick Huewe’s teams won the Rams the singles and doubles championships. MICDS boys tennis team won the Class 2 state title with a 5-1 victory over Parkway West at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield. That championship victory capped an undefeated 14-0 season. It was the 18th state team title in the school's history. The Rams played a rugged schedule.

    Up, up and away. No, that was not Superman flying in the air. It was Duchesne senior Oliver Rothweiler. He may not leap over tall buildings, but he did clear 15 feet, 6.5 inches to capture the Class 2 pole vault championship in the recent state meet at Atkins Stadium in Jefferson City. That earned him the school record, which he set himself earlier in the season. “It felt really good to win state,” Rothweiler said.

    Marquette’s doubles team of sophomores Shreeyash Peyyeti and Ryan Prys finished fifth in the Class 3 state doubles tournament. The two Mustangs began state with a 3-6, 7-6 (3), 10-5 loss to John Burroughs’ Evan Tang and Jerry Chang, who went on to win state. “The tournament's first match, we knew, would be a very competitive match with John Burroughs,” coach Alex Nelle said. “The boys played great, and we just came up short against Evan and Jerry, but I liked our mindset throughout the match.

    Westminster Christian Academy’s doubles team of junior Noah Suthar and senior Alan Walker took fifth place in the Class 2 state doubles tournament. “They have only played together for about half of this season, but proved to be our best pairing quickly,” Wildcats coach Madeline Jolly said. “I felt confident that we were one of the top four teams, and had a very real chance to win state.” The Wildcats’ duo began with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Warrensburg’s Nicholas Slaab and Kaleb Smarr.
