    State police investigate fatal vehicle fire in Warren; conduct traffic stops on I-89February 18, 2025 | By Waterbury Roundabout Vermont State Police are investigating a fatal vehicle fire that happened in Warren late Monday morning. Details were scarce in the police report today that said the incident took place at 11:30 a.m. Monday in a parking area at 500 Vermont Route 100 in Warren. The location is just north of the Rt. 100 intersection with the Sugarbush Access Road.

    Vermont State Police say they hope someone might come forward with information about a crash on Vermont Route 100 in Waterbury Center Thursday morning where the vehicle that caused the mishap fled the scene. Trooper Mae Murdock said the incident took place at approximately 10:30 a.m. at the traffic light at the intersection of Route 100 and Guptil Road. The road was snow-covered and it was snowing at the time, Murdock noted in a news release.

    By Lisa Scagliotti, Waterbury Roundabout A bus driver who was operating a school bus that struck a Crossett Brook Middle School sixth grader last May has been cited to appear in court next month to face a criminal driving charge, according to Vermont State Police. Robert Little Tree, of West Hartford, is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court in Barre on February 6 to answer to the charge of grossly negligent operation, Trooper Mae Murdock said in a Wednesday news release.
