The widow of Lance Corporal Bernard Mongan, who was found dead in his barracks at Catterick Garrison, has expressed her belief that he "took his own life while in crisis" and has labelled the delay in discovering him as "unforgivable". The father-of-three's decomposed remains were located on 23 January 2020, with the medical cause of death remaining "unascertained" due to the advanced state of decomposition hindering a definitive conclusion by doctors.

A mum from Yorkshire has tragically died after contracting rabies whilst on holiday. Yvonne Ford, 54, from Barnsley, died months after returning from Morocco where she was scratched by a puppy. Justyna Jakubowska, nine, encountered tragedy while at play with friends in John Hadland Park, situated on St John's Grove in Hull, east Yorkshire, on the evening of June 4.
