Barry University's Sean Foreman says they can hold a special election this spring or appoint his replacement by Sunday. If you think the heat is on now in South Florida strap in. University of Florida scientist Gomar Gomohammadi led a study showing Florida may see seventy hot days of at least 91-degrees annually by the year 2050. She says this will have serious effects on people's health, the economy and the environment. Temperature increases are more pronounced in urban areas compared to rural because big cities retain heat for longer periods of time due to concrete structures and asphalt surfaces.
