INTRODUCTION Canada's multiculturalism and immigration policies have attracted many immigrants and international students. According to Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada report (2023), China ranks as the second-largest source country at 12% of international students, following India at 39%, with 102,150 Chinese international students studying in Canada. About 50% of these students are destined for colleges and universities in Ontario, the province where our study is conducted.
