Positive momentum coming out of an official visit to Austin last weekend wasn’t enough for the Texas Longhorns to beat out the Clemson Tigers for the services of Buford (Ga.) EDGE Dre Quinn as the 6’4, 228-pounder committed to the Tigers on Thursday. Georgia, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, and Tennessee were the other finalists for the consensus four-star prospect, who took his official visit to Clemson at the end of March and was recruited by former Texas assistant Chris Rumph.

The SEC announced the locations and opponents for the conference schedule the Texas Longhorns will face during the 2025-26 season, the first under new head coach Sean Miller. It’s an inverted version of the 2024-25 SEC schedule with Texas hosting former head coach Chris Beard and Ole Miss at the Moody Center in addition to visits from Florida, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt.
