    BRAZORIA — City Council members all agreed cleaning up Brazoria is one of the city’s main goals for 2025, committing to address the number of ramshackle structures and other unsightly issues around town. Councilwoman Susan Swanner Parker brought up the issue and passed around a pamphlet containing pictures of the buildings and businesses that needed to be dealt with. Parker expressed her concern with council colleagues and asked that action be taken in the future to clean up Brazoria.

    FREEPORT — With a cold front forecast to bring uncomfortably cold conditions and a chance for snow and freezing rain to Southeast Texas, organizations of the annual Martin Luther King Day parade and festival decided not to have the event this year.
