Officials say that the $984,000 project aims to prevent wrong-way entries onto Interstate 5 by upgrading signage and enhancing pavement markings between the Cottonwood Creek Bridge and Liberal Avenue overcrossings.

The positions span across various roles in the state's national forests and grasslands. MARYSVILLE, Calif. - Two Norteño gang members were arrested in Marysville during a probation compliance operation on Thursday. Authorities say that the operation was a joint effort by the Yuba County Probation Department and the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Team. The Yuba County Sheriff's Office says that 18-year-old Raymond Hernandez Jr. of Marysville and a juvenile suspect were both taken into custody on the 5900 block of Park Avenue.

REDDING, Calif. - The Shasta-Trinity National Forest is gearing up to conduct prescribed fires starting Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Officials say that these fires aim to reduce hazardous fuels and protect nearby communities from potential wildfires. According to the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, the prescribed burns will cover 636 acres approximately eight miles east of McCloud and about a quarter-mile north of Highway 89.
