Cameron Joyner, who lived in Forsyth but now lives in Atlanta, is married to Forsyth native Amber Sawley Joyner. He leads a Friends of Israel ministry that serves messianic Jews in the Atlanta area. As part of their mission, he leads friends aged 18-28 to Israel on 19-day trips, twice a year.

    A Bibb County jury acquitted a Macon man on Thursday, June 12 on charges that he beat a Kathryn Drive couple into a bloody pulp in their home before stealing a cell phone and wallet in 2022. “I honestly can’t believe it,” a Kathryn Drive neighbor of the victims told the Reporter.

    A Bibb County jury on Tuesday acquitted two men of all murder charges related to the 2018 shooting death of Danny Causey behind Raffield Tire on MLK Drive. Jeffery Hunter Jr was found not guilty on all charges and his co-defendant Kaylen Johnson was found not guilty of murder but guilty of 3 lesser counts of aggravated assault. Bibb County superior court judge Connie Williford sentenced Johnson to 25 years to serve in prison for the 3 aggravated assault convictions.
