The 11-seed Iowa State women's basketball team continues its quest for a national title on Friday morning when it takes on 6-seed Michigan in South Bend, Indiana. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. CT. The Cyclones took care of business during their First Four game to open the NCAA Tournament, taking down Princeton 68-63. The Wolverines have yet to play in the 2025 edition of March Madness since they earned a 6-seed and did not need to play in the First Four.

6:47 pm CTHALF: Princeton 38, Iowa State 25Really tough quarter for Iowa State, which managed just XX points over the last 10 minutes. Tigers outscored ISU 27-7. Turned a 9-point hole into a 13-point advantage. Princeton ends the frame on a 14-0 run. Addy Brown still leads ISU with 11 points. Audi Crooks has 9. Seems like frustration is mounting when the CYclones drive. Refs aren't calling many fouls on either side. The Tigers have forced eight ISU turnovers and turned that into nine points.

Drake basketball guard Bennett Stirtz was honored with AP All-American Honorable Mention accolades on Tuesday. This adds to the junior's list of honors this season after he was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year. He posted 19.1 points per game, a league high, and also led the league in steals with 71 on the season. Stirtz ranked second in the MVC in assists with 5.7 per game and scored in double figures in 31 of the team's 33 games this season.
