Rohit announced his Test retirement suddenly on Wednesday evening after reports emerged in the Indian media that he was about to be deposed as captain. He will continue to play ODI cricket for India and in the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians, but also retired from T20Is after winning the World Cup last year.
