A family grieving the loss of a beloved father, husband, and provider. 57-year-old Emmanuel Gbedee was found shot and killed in the back seat of his car on Holly Grove Rd in Benson on Sunday. Gbedee was driving for Uber when he picked up 18-year-old Tray'vian Brown, who was charged with his murder on Wednesday. “It was heartbreaking. It was catastrophic. It’s a tragic situation. Something that I never expected or thought that would come close to our household,” Emmanuel Jr., Gbedee’s son said.

A Wake County woman is furious after her special needs child was left on a school bus Thursday morning. Her daughter fell asleep on the morning ride to school, and woke up alone, on a cold empty bus. “This sent her anxiety through the roof, let alone mine. I am driving, and I am crying, wishing that there was something that I could do, wishing that I could get to her, but I couldn’t,” Ann Johnson, parent said. Johnson, a Wake County mother very upset after her 14-year-old daughter was left on a bus.

At least 30 people are without homes after two separate fires damaged units at the same apartment complex in just two days. Both fires are under investigation, and the Red Cross is assisting those affected. It's been a tough 24 hours for residents of The Bridges at North Hills, where two fires have caused significant damage. These fires are the latest in a string of incidents displacing people. Fire trucks lined the street Tuesday evening as Raleigh firefighters worked to control the flames.
