A 26-day old full-term male infant with unremarkable perinatal history presented to the hospital with fever. On the day prior to presentation, the patient’s mother noted that he was fussy and felt warm to touch, later measuring fever to 100.7 °F, prompting presentation to the emergency department for evaluation. Maternal pregnancy history was uncomplicated. She did not have any flu-like symptoms or any known fevers at any time during the pregnancy. Her pre-natal labs were largely unremarkable.
