He turned heads when second in a QTIS two-year-old handicap last start and now Olivia Cairns’ promising gelding Nottington Prince is returning to Eagle Farm with victory on his mind. Group 1 winning trainer David Vandyke is hoping four-year-old Tommy Flyer will be able to launch his career for his new stable with a win on Wednesday at Ipswich. The gelding recently joined Vandyke's yard following a short stint south of the border under Nick Olive in Queanbeyan. While he only has one career start under his belt, Vandyke is adamant that the son of Super One is a different horse than what he was at his debut run at Queanbeyan.

Trainer Matt Dunn has revealed his grand plans for stakes-winning international Sea King which has returned to work following a brief freshen up. Dunn picked up the European stayer off English-based trainer Harry Eustace and he's eager to see the gelding in action, with the Melbourne Cup still on his radar after finishing 14th in 2024. Like many imports that head to Australian shores, Dunn believes Sea King will be a different horse with a bit of time and acclimatisation.
