IntroductionClick to copy section linkSection link copied!Weak inter- and intramolecular interactions are fundamental to self-assembly processes that drive the formation of complex biological structures. (1−5) Among these, coacervation is a liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS) process resulting in the formation of macromolecular-rich microdroplets whose assembly is governed by diverse weak interactions.

AbstractInternationalisation at home (IaH) has gained prominence in higher education, emphasising the cosmopolitan aspects of curricula, teaching, and learning. This case study, grounded in the concept of cosmopolitan learning as a sociological approach, focuses on three dimensions—cosmopolitan engagement, critical reflections on global and local issues, and ethical judgements—made by 23 Chinese university students participating in IaH at a prestigious Chinese university.

AbstractComplex coacervation is a form of liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS), whereby two types of macromolecules, usually bearing opposite net charges, self-assemble into dense microdroplets driven by weak molecular interactions. Peptide-based coacervates have recently emerged as promising carriers to deliver large macromolecules (nucleic acids, proteins and complex thereof) inside cells.

Background. BRCA1 interacting helicase 1 (BRIP1), an ATP-dependent DNA helicase which belongs to an Iron-Sulfur (Fe-S) helicase cluster family with a DEAH domain, plays a key role in DNA damage and repair, Fanconi anemia, and development of several cancers including breast and ovarian cancer. However, its role in pan-cancer remains largely unknown. Methods.
