1. IntroductionIn recent years, the rate of underground cabling in China’s urban power transmission and distribution networks has been steadily increasing. However, this has also led to a rise in the failure rate of the cable’s insulation layer [1] and semiconductive layer [2]. XLPE cables, during both manufacturing and operation, are inevitably affected by factors such as production and installation processes [3].

AbstractOxysterols are metabolites of cholesterol that regulate cholesterol homeostasis. Among these, the most abundant oxysterol is 27-hydroxycholesterol (27HC), which can cross the blood-brain barrier. Because 27HC functions as an endogenous selective estrogen receptor modulator, we hypothesize that 27HC binds to the estrogen receptor α (ERα) in the brain to regulate energy balance.

Abstract:The fractured zone poses a significant risk to construction safety and structure durability in tunnel engineering. However, the effect of excavation methods has not been thoroughly investigated in previous studies. This paper presents a series of 1:30 scale 3D model tests on fault tunnels under the coupling effect of different fault dip angles and construction steps.
